What types of fish do you target on Lake Erie?
Our charters focus primarily on walleye and yellow perch — two of the most popular gamefish on Lake Erie. Depending on the season, we may also encounter smallmouth bass, steelhead, or other species.
When is the best time to fish for walleye?
Spring (April–June): Trophy walleye are caught after spawning, often in shallower waters.
Summer (July–August): Large schools of walleye move deeper; this is peak season for numbers.
Fall (September–October): Walleye move back toward shore, offering great opportunities for both size and quantity.
When is the best time to fish for perch?
Perch fishing is best from late summer into fall (typically August through October), when schools gather in larger numbers and the action can be fast-paced.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. All guests age 16 and older must have a valid Ohio fishing license before boarding. You can purchase a license online from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources or at local bait shops.
What should I bring on the trip?
We recommend:
Valid Ohio fishing license
Weather-appropriate clothing (layers, rain gear, hat, sunglasses)
Non-marking shoes
Snacks and drinks (alcohol permitted in moderation; no glass bottles)
Cooler for your catch (leave it in your vehicle until after the trip)
Do you provide the fishing equipment?
Yes. We supply all rods, reels, bait, and tackle needed for your trip. You’re welcome to bring your own gear if you prefer.
How long are your fishing charters?
Most trips last 4-7 hours depending on the package you choose. Half-day and full-day options are available.
How many people can go on a charter?
Our boat is licensed and insured for up 4 guests(Contact us for group or corporate trip options.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety is our top priority. The captain will decide whether conditions are safe. If we need to cancel due to weather, you will be given the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
Do you clean and bag the fish?
Yes, fish cleaning and bagging can be provided after the trip (included or for a small fee, depending on your package). Bring a cooler with ice to transport your fish home.
Can kids come along?
Absolutely! Fishing is a great family activity. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, and life jackets will be provided.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 24 hours ] or more in advance will receive a full refund.
Cancellations within 24 hours may result in forfeiture of deposit or payment.
Weather-related cancellations by the captain are always refunded or rescheduled.
Do you offer lodging?
